More than fifty workers from the area will be employed during the construction of the plant.

Fuente Álamo (Murcia), February the 8th, 2022. The Regional Counselor for Enterprise, Employment, Universities and Spokesperson of the Region of Murcia, Valle Miguélez; the Mayor of Fuente Álamo, Murcia, Juana María Martínez; and the President and CEO of X-ELIO, Lluís Noguera, have presided today the placement of the first stone of the solar PV plant called ‘Fuente Álamo V and VI’, which will be able to produce 17.4 MW of 100% clean and sustainable energy for the Region of Murcia.
The total investment exceeds 10 million euros and will prevent the emission of 3.458 tons of CO2 into the atmosphere. More than fifty local workers will be employed in the site preparation, panel assembly and commissioning of works.

In line with X-ELIO’s sustainability and social commitment policies, each project includes a Community Plan. In the case of Fuente Álamo, two agreements will be signed at Fuente Álamo City Council on February 9th for the implementation of the specific actions planned alongside the Municipality. The content of these agreements will be soon announced and presented in greater detail.
