This agreement is part of X-ELIO’s Community Plan, which includes regional and local actions aimed at promoting the pillars of the Program: environment, education, communities and health. These actions are an essential component in all of the company’s projects and are tailored to the needs of each area or region. Through this particular collaboration, X-ELIO aims to contribute to the community and train its people so that they can be part of its project in the region, thus supporting local employment and training.
This action goes alongside X-ELIO’s ‘CSF Tabernas’ project, a 50 MW PV plant located in Almería which will produce 104 GWh of 100% clean and sustainable energy. This plant will supply the equivalent consumption of 10,000 homes/year and will prevent the emission of more than 20,000 tonnes of CO2 into the atmosphere.
“For X-ELIO it is essential to contribute to the communities in which we operate. We are aware of the relevance that the sector is gaining in Spain, especially for being one of the main solar energy markets in Europe. That is why we want to give locals the opportunity to develop their careers in the sector, promoting growth and specialization in the region. We are very excited to be able to carry out this project and hope to continue with more editions in other regions where we operate”.Arancha Martínez, Country Manager of X-ELIO in Spain.
