Antofagasta, Chile, 1st June 2023.
X-ELIO, a leading global developer of renewable and sustainable energy, has recently signed a partnership agreement with the Pampina Foundation, aimed to support more than 100 children with special needs in this region.
The initiative, with which the company provides support to families so that they can access personalised help, is being developed in the commune of María Elena (Antofagasta), where X-ELIO has been present since 2016 and operates its 57 MW Uribe solar plant.
Through this agreement, X-ELIO will collaborate in the financing of a programme of psychology, speech therapy and early detection sessions for the “Semillita” stimulation centre, in line with the organisation’s objectives in terms of promoting a participatory, creative and collaborative society.
The Pampina Foundation develops projects focused on improving the quality of life of the region’s inhabitants, with the aim of achieving social, educational and community transformation, stimulating investment in training and care for the population.
This sponsorship is part of X-ELIO’s Community Plan Program, which aims to create a connection with the societies in which the company operates and to serve, at the same time, as a tool for social development in all the markets in which it operates.
Armando Gómez, Country Manager at X-ELIO LATAM, said: “Promoting education and equal opportunities for children is essential to improve their quality of life and foster a more diverse and respectful society, benefiting the overall well-being and progress of the region and its citizens. Congratulations to the Pampina Foundation for their great work, from X-ELIO we are delighted to be able to collaborate with them”.
Yessica Oribe, Head of the Pampina Foundation, said: “From the Municipality of María Elena we are very grateful to have the support of X-ELIO. Thanks to their sponsorship and involvement in this project, we have been able to organise support activities for children with special needs and educational workshops given by professionals for parents and guardians. Without a doubt, it is very gratifying to know that there are companies that dedicate their efforts to support foundations such as the Pampina Foundation, promoting the social and psychological development of children through the Semillita stimulation centre programme”.”
