GREFA
A collaboration agreement has been signed with GREFA to recover the populations of the lesser kestrel (Falco naumanni) in southeastern Spain by reusing abandoned barns and reintroducing chicks in captivity. During its first year, 261 pairs have been counted with a total of approximately 873 chicks fledged.
Two ecological children's gardens have been built in public schools. Each School Garden consists of two cultivation beds and a shed for storing tools and utensils.
Through this we raise students’ awareness of the origin of food and the importance of a healthy and balanced diet.
We offered 50 positions in complete and certified training courses on the construction and installation of solar panels and on risks and preventive measures on construction sites. Through this project, X-ELIO aims to promote professional development and local training.
